Brake Shift Interlock Actuator Manual Override

Activation 

NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with a brake shift interlock feature that prevents the selector lever from being moved out of P when the ignition is in the ON position unless the brake pedal is applied.
If the selector lever cannot be moved out of the P position when the ignition is in the ON position and the brake pedal is applied:
1. Before beginning this procedure check for BSIA DTCs. If BSIA DTCs are present, Refer to: External Controls  (Automatic Transmission External Controls, Diagnosis and Testing).

3. Rotate the tab located on the BSIA lever counterclockwise, apply the brake, press the button on the selector lever.

4. Start the vehicle.
