P2450 - EVAP System Switching Valve Performance/Stuck Open

DTC DESCRIPTION P2450 - EVAP SYSTEM SWITCHING VALVE PERFORMANCE/STUCK OPEN

Description:	The PCM commands the fuel tank isolation valve (plug in vehicles) or the vapor blocking valve (all others) closed while a vacuum is present in the fuel tank. If the valve does not close, the vacuum in the tank is quickly lost. This DTC sets when the rate of loss is greater than a calibrated threshold.
Possible Causes:	Large fuel vapor leak Contaminated fuel tank isolation valve (plug in vehicles) Fuel tank isolation valve stuck open (plug in vehicles) Damaged fuel tank isolation valve (plug in vehicles) Contaminated vapor blocking valve (all others) Vapor blocking valve stuck open (all others) Damaged vapor blocking valve (all others) EVAP purge valve stuck open
Diagnostic Aids:	Retrieve all continuous memory and on-demand self-test DTCs from the PCM. Diagnose and repair circuit DTC P2418 before diagnosing this performance DTC.
