Selector Lever Cable: Installation
1.
Position the selector lever cable. Use the General Equipment: Draw Cord

2.
Connect the selector lever cable to the selector lever.

3.
Install the selector lever cable grommet nuts and position the carpet.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

4.
Install the instrument panel bracket and the bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

5.
Install the instrument panel bracket and the bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

6.
Install the floor console side finish panel and a new pushpin.

7.
Install the steering column opening trim panel.

8.
Install the instrument panel side trim panel and position the weatherstrip.

9.
Install the floor console finish panel and the bolt. Position the parking brake lever trim panel.

10.
Connect the electrical connector and install the selector lever bezel.

Position the selector lever in D.

12.
Connect the selector lever cable to the retainers.

13.
Position the transmission manual lever in D.
1.
Rotate the manual control lever clockwise until it stops.
2.
Rotate the manual control lever counterclockwise one detent.

14.
Connect the selector lever cable retaining clip to the transmission.

15.
Unlock the selector lever cable adjuster.

Verify the adjuster moves freely.

17.
Connect the selector lever cable adjuster to the transmission manual lever.

Lock the selector lever cable adjuster.

19.
Verify that the vehicle only starts in P and N and the reverse lamps illuminate in R.
