Selector Lever Assembly: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Disengage the 4 retaining tabs and lift the selector lever bezel up and disconnect the electrical connectors.
Remove the retainers, release the clips and remove the gearshift housing upper cover.
Remove the floor console. Refer to: FLOOR CONSOLE - VEHICLES WITH: SINGLE PASSENGER SEAT
Remove the retainers, release the clips and remove the gearshift housing lower cover.
Disconnect the wiring harness bulkhead connector from the bracket and position the harness aside.
Remove the bolts, push pin and the gearshift housing support bracket.
Remove the selector lever assembly.
1. Remove the nuts
  Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
2. Remove the bolts. And disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
3. Remove the bolt, disconnect the selector lever cable end from the selector lever pin and the selector lever cable from the bracket. Remove the selector lever assembly.
  Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
