Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine.

    Use the General Equipment: Ford Diagnostic Equipment

  2. Refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  3. Refer to: FENDER SPLASH SHIELD .

    Vehicles without PCM security shield

  5. Use the General Equipment: Center Punch

    Use the General Equipment: 3.5 mm Drill Bit
