Rear Door Alignment

Inspection 

  1. 1.

    Check rear door to body dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .

Adjustment 

NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.

All alignments 

  1. 1.

    Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.

Rear door in and out, up and down alignment 

  1. 2.

    Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the door.

    Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

  1. 3.

    Adjust door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

Rear door fore, aft and tilt alignment 

  1. 4.

    Loosen the bolt to permit movement of the door.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  1. 5.

    Refer to: Seatbelt Retractor and Pretensioner .

  1. 6.

    Loosen the nuts to permit movement of the door.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  1. 7.

    Loosen the nuts to permit movement of the door.

  1. 8.

    Adjust door to specification. Refer to: Body and Frame .

All alignments 

  1. 9.

    Install the striker assembly.

    Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

  1. 10.

    Check body to rear door dimensions. Refer to: Body and Frame .

  1. 11.

    Install the removed components.
