Pinpoint Test S: An Individual Button Or Feature Is Inoperative From The RKE Transmitter
- S1 VERIFY THE DOOR LOCK OPERATION
- Press the lock and unlock button on the door lock control switch while observing the door lock operation.
- Do the door locks operate?
- Yes : GO to S2.
- No : GO to PINPOINT TEST I .
- S2 VERIFY THE HORN OPERATION USING THE BCM PID (HORN)
- Using a scan tool, view BCM PIDs.
- Select the BCM horn PID HORN and active command the horn on then off.
- Does the horn sound when commanded on?
- Yes : GO to S3.
- No : REFER to HORN .
- S3 VERIFY THE HAZARD LAMP OPERATION
- Activate the hazard lamp function.
- Do the hazard lamps operate correctly?
- Yes : GO to S4.
- No : REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
- S4 VERIFY THE LIFTGATE RELEASE OPERATION
- Unlock the doors using the door lock control switch.
- Press the liftgate release switch located on the liftgate.
- Does the liftgate latch release?
- Yes
: REPLACE the suspect RKE transmitter.
If the suspect RKE transmitter is an IKT or IA key, ERASE and PROGRAM the keys. REFER to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS), WITHOUT INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) (vehicles without IA) or ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS), WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) (vehicles with IA).
If the suspect RKE transmitter is a key fob, PROGRAM the RKE transmitter. REFER to REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING .

: If equipped with a manual liftgate, GO to PINPOINT TEST N .
If equipped with a power liftgate, Refer to BODY CLOSURES .
