Brake Shift Interlock Actuator Manual Override: Activation

NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with a brake shift interlock feature that prevents the selector lever from being moved out of P when the ignition is in the ON position unless the brake pedal is applied.
If the selector lever cannot be moved out of the P position when the ignition is in the ON position and the brake pedal is applied:

Before beginning this procedure check for BSIA DTCs. If BSIA DTCs are present, Refer to: EXTERNAL CONTROLS

Rotate the tab located on the BSIA lever counterclockwise, apply the brake, press the button on the selector lever.

Start the vehicle.
