Removal And Installation

  1. 1.

    Remove the center occupant head restraint guide sleeves. For additional information, refer to Head Restraint Guide Sleeve  in this service information.

  1. 2.

    Detach the backrest cover retainer at the bottom, at the inboard side and open the backrest cover.

  1. 3.

    Detach the armrest cover retainers from the hard back panel.

  1. 4.

    Remove the armrest assembly.

    1. 1.

      Separate the hook-and-loop strip at the bottom and pull the backrest cover out at the top.

    1. 2.

      Pull the 3 backrest cover retainers out from between the hardback panel and backrest frame.

    1. 3.

      Remove the 3 armrest-to-backrest frame bolts.
      • To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).

    1. 4.

      Detach the 2 retaining clips, pull out at the front and remove the armrest assembly.

  1. 5.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
