If the safety belt warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . If the safety belt warning indicator does not operate correctly, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER to continue diagnosis of the safety belt warning indicator.
The safety belt minder chime does not operate correctly	The safety belt minder is disabled	ENABLE the safety belt minder. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION to enable using a scan tool. To enable without using a scan tool, REFER to Belt-Minder® Deactivating/Activating .
	Instrument cluster	VERIFY the safety belt warning indicator operates correctly. If the safety belt warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . If the safety belt warning indicator does not operate correctly, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER to continue diagnosis of the safety belt warning indicator.
The key-in-ignition warning chime does not operate correctly	Circuitry Key-in-ignition warning switch Clockspring Instrument cluster	Go to Pinpoint Test A .
The door ajar warning chime does not operate correctly	Instrument cluster	VERIFY the door ajar warning indicator operates correctly. If the door ajar warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . If the door ajar warning indicator does not operate correctly, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER to continue diagnosis of the door ajar warning indicator.
The headlamp on warning chime does not operate correctly	Instrument cluster	Go to Pinpoint Test B .
The parking brake on warning chime does not operate correctly	Instrument cluster	Go to Pinpoint Test C .
The air bag warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	RETRIEVE the recorded diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from both the continuous and on-demand instrument cluster self-tests. If DTC B1868 is retrieved, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. If no DTCs are retrieved, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER to diagnose the inoperative air bag warning indicator.
The chime sounds when the driver door is ajar (no key in ignition and headlamps off)	Circuitry Key-in-ignition warning switch Instrument cluster	VERIFY the parking lamps operate correctly. If the parking lamps operate correctly, go to Pinpoint Test A . If the parking lamps do not operate correctly, REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING to continue diagnosis of the parking lamps.
All the chimes are inoperative	Instrument cluster	DISCONNECT all the instrument cluster connectors. CHECK for corrosion and pushed-out pins. CONNECT all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly. OPERATE the system and VERIFY the concern is still present. If the concern is still present, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation.
