Seat Position Sensor

NOTE:
The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition is ON.
NOTE:
The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
All seats
- Remove the driver seat and depower the SRS . For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the seat position sensor electrical connector.
Power seats
- Detach the wire harness routing pin-type retainer from the seat position sensor bracket.
All seats
- Push apart then inward to release the seat position sensor locking clip.
- Slide the seat position sensor rearward to release the 2 hooks from the bracket. Then remove the seat position sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install the driver seat and repower the SRS . For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
