Front Seat Power Lumbar Assembly: Removal

Regular Cab 

  1. 1.

    Remove the front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .

Climate controlled seats 

  1. 2.

    Remove the front seat backrest blower motor. Refer to: Front Seat Backrest Blower Motor .

SuperCab and SuperCrew seats without climate control 

  1. 3.

    Move the front seat to the full upward position.

  1. 4.

    Depower the SRS. Refer to: SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING .

Seats without climate control 

  1. 5.

    Detach the electrical connector retainers and position the wire harnesses aside.

  1. 6.

    Detach the backrest cover straps and position the backrest cover upward.

  1. 7.

    Detach the backrest cover lower J-clip.

  1. 8.

    Detach the hook-and-loop retainer and position the backrest cover strap aside.

    1. 1.

      NOTE: To install, gradually alternate the left and right seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the seat backrest cover.

    Unzip the backrest cover zipper on each side.

  1. 2.

    Position the backrest cover upward.

All Seats 

  1. 10.

    Disconnect the electrical connector, release the J-hooks and remove the power lumbar assembly.
