MODULE NETWORK INPUT MESSAGES - BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)
| Broadcast Message | Originating Module | Message Purpose |

| PATS status enable/disable target data | TCM | The TCM sends the BCM a challenge request for a valid ID. |
| Intelligent access key status | RFA module | Provide the BCM with the passive key data. The data contains information such as if a passive key has been detected, how many were detected, battery status and if it is a programmed key. |
| Intelligent access system status | RFA module | The response from the BCM request for the RFA module ID. If the RFA module ID response is incorrect, then the PATS prevents the vehicle from starting. |

| PATS start request target data | BCM | The response from the BCM supplying the TCM challenge ID. If the BCM ID response is incorrect, then the PATS prevents the TCM from applying torque. |
MODULE NETWORK INPUT MESSAGES - REMOTE FUNCTION ACTUATOR (RFA) MODULE

| Intelligent access system status | BCM | A request for the RFA module ID. |
| Door status | BCM | Used by the RFA module to determine if it should search the interior of the vehicle for a passive key. It searches for a key if any door or liftgate/luggage compartment lid is opened and then closed. |
