Pinpoint Test

  1. CHECK THE RFA MODULE DTCs  FROM THE SELF-TEST
    1. Using a scan tool, perform the RFA module self-test.

    Are any other RFA module DTCs retrieved? 

  2. CHECK THE IA KEYS
    1. Check that the correct IA keys are used with the vehicle. REFER to Intelligent Access (IA) Key .

    Are the correct keys being used? 

  3. CHECK BOTH IA KEYS
    NOTE: At least 2 IA keys must be present prior to carrying out this pinpoint test
    1. Program both of the IA keys. REFER to Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment .
    2. Press the start/stop switch with each IA key in the vehicle at a time.

    Does the ignition only turn on with only one key?
