Suspension Design Height Setting

NOTE: Make sure the vehicle is on a flat, level surface, such as a drive-on hoist.
  1. Jounce the vehicle's front and rear suspension to normalize the vehicle static ride height.
  2. Measure the ride height. For additional information, refer to RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT .
  3. NOTE: The torsion bar adjusting bolt is coated with a thread locking compound that wears off after disassembly. If the torsion bar system is ever disassembled or if the torsion bar adjusting bolt is ever removed, use a new torsion bar adjusting bolt when assembling.
  4. Adjust the ride height as follows:
    • To increase the ride height, tighten the torsion bar adjusting bolt.
    • To decrease the ride height, loosen the torsion bar adjusting bolt.
