Gearshift Lever
Removal and Installation

- Remove the gearshift lever knob.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
- Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to BODY PANEL SYSTEM - FRONT END BODY PANELS article.
- Remove the shift cable ends from the gearshift levers in the following sequence.
- Carefully pry the gearshift cables from the shift levers.
- Pull back on abutment sleeve and lift cable out of shifter.
- Remove the 4 gearshift lever bolts and the gearshift lever.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
