Passenger Air Bag Module: Installation

  1. Position the passenger air bag module into the instrument panel and install the nuts.
    • Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
  2. NOTE: Make sure the passenger air bag module electrical connector locking buttons are in the released position when connected. Do not install the passenger air bag module electrical connectors by the locking buttons. Failure to follow these instructions may cause connector damage.
  3. With the locking button released, install the passenger air bag module electrical connectors fully into the passenger air bag module and seat the locking buttons.
    • Attach the wire harness retainers.
  4. Position the passenger air bag module bracket and install the nuts.
    • Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
  5. Install the glove compartment.
