Overdrive clutch does not apply	Solenoid body filter blocked to Shift Solenoid D (SSD)	CLEAN or REPLACE the solenoid body filter screen. REFER to SOLENOID BODY ASSEMBLY .
	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) mechanically stuck OFF	REPLACE the solenoid body. REFER to SOLENOID BODY ASSEMBLY . Perform the Solenoid Body Strategy, REFER to Solenoid Body Strategy Download.
	Overdrive clutch (CBLR/C456) regulator valve stuck OFF	DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the overdrive clutch regulator valve. If bore or valve is damaged, REPLACE the main control valve body. REFER to MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY .
	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) SIG, CBLR/C456 SUPPLY, C456 SUPPLY, C456 hydraulic circuits blocked/leaking	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the main control valve body and separator plate passages for debris/blockage. CLEAN as necessary. REFER to SOLENOID HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS .
	Multiplex shift valve stuck in applied position	DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the multiplex shift valve. If bore or valve is damaged, REPLACE the main control valve body. REFER to MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY .
	C456 supply hydraulic circuit blocked or leaking	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the transmission cover and support tower passages for debris/blockage. CLEAN as necessary. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS .
	Rear planetary carrier/center ring gear	INSPECT the planetary carrier/center ring gear for wear and damage. REPLACE as necessary.
	Overdrive clutch friction plates	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the overdrive clutch friction and steel plates. REPLACE as necessary. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH .
	Overdrive clutch piston seal leakage	REPLACE the overdrive clutch piston and seals. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH .
Overdrive clutch always applied	Solenoid body filter seal damaged at Shift Solenoid D (SSD)	REPLACE the solenoid body filter screen. REFER to SOLENOID BODY ASSEMBLY .
	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) mechanically stuck ON	REPLACE the solenoid body. REFER to SOLENOID BODY ASSEMBLY . Perform the Solenoid Body Strategy, REFER to Solenoid Body Strategy Download.
	Overdrive clutch regulator (CBLR/C456) valve stuck ON	DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the overdrive clutch regulator valve and bias spring. If bore or valve is damaged, REPLACE the main control valve body. REFER to MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY .
	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) SIG, CBLR/C456 SUPPLY, C456 SUPPLY, C456 hydraulic circuits blocked/leaking	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the main control valve body and separator plate passages for leakage. CLEAN as necessary. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS .
	Overdrive clutch friction plates	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the overdrive clutch friction and steel plates. REPLACE as necessary. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH .
	Overdrive clutch piston return spring.	INSPECT the return spring for damage. REPLACE as necessary. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH .
Overdrive clutch delayed/soft/slipping apply	Incorrect Solenoid Body Strategy programmed into Powertrain Control Module (PCM)	REFER to Solenoid Body Strategy Download.
	Solenoid body filter seal damaged at Shift Solenoid D (SSD)	REPLACE the solenoid body filter screen. REFER to SOLENOID BODY ASSEMBLY .
	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) mechanically sticking	REPLACE the solenoid body. REFER to SOLENOID BODY ASSEMBLY . Perform the Solenoid Body Strategy, REFER to Solenoid Body Strategy Download.
	Overdrive clutch regulator (CBLR/C456) valve sticking	DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the overdrive clutch regulator valve. If bore or valve is damaged, REPLACE the main control valve body. REFER to MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY .
	Overdrive clutch (CBLR/C456) boost valve stuck ON	DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the overdrive clutch boost valve and bias spring. If bore, valve or spring is damaged, REPLACE the main control valve body. REFER to MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY .
	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) SIG, CBLR/C456 SUPPLY, C456 SUPPLY, C456 hydraulic circuits blocked/leaking	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the main control valve body and separator plate passages for debris/blockage. CLEAN as necessary. REFER to SOLENOID HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS .

	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) mechanically sticking	REPLACE the solenoid body. REFER to SOLENOID BODY ASSEMBLY . Perform the Solenoid Body Strategy, REFER to Solenoid Body Strategy Download.
	Overdrive clutch (CBLR/C456) regulator valve sticking	DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the overdrive clutch regulator valve and bias spring. If bore, valve or spring is damaged, REPLACE the main control valve body. REFER to MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY .
	Overdrive clutch (CBLR/C456) boost valve sticking	DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the overdrive clutch boost valve and bias spring. If bore, valve or spring is damaged, REPLACE the main control valve body. REFER to MAIN CONTROL VALVE BODY .
	Shift Solenoid D (SSD) SIG, CBLR/C456 SUPPLY, C456 SUPPLY, C456 hydraulic circuits blocked/leaking	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the main control valve body and separator plate passages for debris/blockage. CLEAN as necessary. REFER to SOLENOID HYDRAULIC CIRCUITS .
	Overdrive clutch friction plates	DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the overdrive clutch friction and steel plates. REPLACE as necessary. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH .
	Overdrive clutch piston return spring	INSPECT the return spring for proper installation and damage. REPLACE as necessary. REFER to OVERDRIVE CLUTCH .
