Cruise Control

The cruise control system consists of the following components:
- Cruise control switches (part of the LH steering wheel controls)
- Cruise control deactivator switch (part of the stoplamp switch)
- Cruise control indicator (located in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC))
- Clockspring
- Electronically-controlled throttle body
- Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) (located on the steering column)
- Stoplamp switch
- PCM
The cruise control system is controlled by the PCM and the cruise control switch inputs are received from the SCCM . The cruise control system maintains a selected vehicle speed between 30 km/h (18 mph) and the maximum limited vehicle speed.
During normal driving the vehicle speed may vary slightly from the set speed due to road conditions. The vehicle speed may fluctuate when driving up and down a steep hill. If the vehicle speed decreases more than 16 km/h (10 mph) below the set speed, the cruise control disengages.
When a MyKey™ restricted key is in use vehicle speed is limited to 130 km/h (80 mph).
