Front Brake Pads: Installation

- Using a block of wood or an old brake pad and a 10 cm (4 inch) C-clamp, press the caliper piston into its bore.
- Install the brake pads.
- Install the brake caliper and the bolts.
- Install the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to WHEELS & TIRES .
- Pump the brake pedal several times to position the brake linings.
- Fill the Brake fluid reservoir with Ford High Performance DOT 3 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid C6AZ-19542-AB or DOT 3 equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A.
CAUTION:
Metal or sharp objects cannot come into direct contact with the piston surface or damage can result.
