Front Brake Pads: Installation

    CAUTION: Metal or sharp objects cannot come into direct contact with the piston surface or damage can result.

  1. Using a block of wood or an old brake pad and a 10 cm (4 inch) C-clamp, press the caliper piston into its bore.
  2. Install the brake pads.

  3. Install the brake caliper and the bolts.

  4. Install the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to WHEELS & TIRES .
  5. Pump the brake pedal several times to position the brake linings.
  6. Fill the Brake fluid reservoir with Ford High Performance DOT 3 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid C6AZ-19542-AB or DOT 3 equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A.
