Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the radiator and cooling fan assembly. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING article.
  2. Remove the oil level indicator.
  3. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. Remove the oil level indicator tube from the engine block.
    5. NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
  5. Remove and discard the oil indicator tube O-ring seal.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
