Roof Opening Panel Alignment

    NOTE: The roof opening panel must be in the closed position for alignment.
  1. Place a suitable 1.0 - 1.2 mm (0.04 - 0.05 in) thick, 150 mm (5.9 in) long plastic spacer between the rear edge of the roof opening panel glass and the roof panel opening.
  2. NOTE: Make sure the roof opening panel glass is located centrally in the roof panel opening.
  3. Adjust the rear edge of the roof opening panel glass.
    • Loosen the 4 roof opening panel glass screws.
    • Push the rear edge up or down to give the correct alignment (0.0-1.0 mm [0.00-0.04 in]).
  4. Tighten the 2 rear roof opening panel glass screws.
    • Tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
  5. Adjust the front edge of the roof opening panel glass.
    • Push the front edge up or down to give the correct alignment (0.0-1.0 mm [0.00-0.04 in]).
  6. Tighten the 2 front roof opening panel glass screws.
    • Tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
  7. NOTE: Remove the plastic spacer.
  8. Initialize the roof panel opening motor. For additional information, refer to Roof Opening Panel Motor Initialization .
  9. Operate the roof opening panel and check the alignment.
  10. Check the roof opening panel seal for wind noise and water leaks.
