Restraint Deployment Indicator (RDI)

The RDI is an input signal sent from the restraint control module (RCM) to the PCM indicating an air bag deployment. The signal is a zero to VPWR 50% duty cycle, that is .83 Hz for a normal condition, and 5 Hz indicates a deployment event has occurred. Refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
