Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
Remove the hood.
Remove the cowl panel grille. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
Disconnect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

Remove the bolts and the cowl top panel.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).

Remove the 2 engine roll restrictor bolts and the engine roll restrictor.
- To install, tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
Remove the transaxle support insulator nut.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Remove the LH engine mount nut.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Remove the RH engine mount nut.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Using the special tools, raise the engine.

Remove the generator brace bolt.
- To install, tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).

NOTE: The A/C compressor must be repositioned to access the LH engine mount bolt.

Loosen the A/C compressor mounting bolts 25.4 mm (1 in), then slide the A/C compressor toward the front of the vehicle.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Remove the LH engine mount bolt.
- To install, tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Remove the LH engine mount.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
