Intermediate Clutch Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove the bearing race. Clean and inspect for damage.
    • If damage is indicated, a new intermediate clutch assembly will be required.

  2. Remove the intermediate clutch plate snap ring.

  3. NOTE: Inspect the intermediate clutch drum/center support, friction plates and steel plates for damage. No new components are installed at this time. If new components are required, a new intermediate clutch/center support assembly is required.
  4. Remove the intermediate clutch plates, steel and friction. Inspect the steel and friction plates for damage. If damage is indicated, a new intermediate clutch assembly will be required.
    • If no damage is indicated, the intermediate clutch can be re-assembled.
