The safety belt warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	VERIFY the safety belt warning indicator operates correctly. If the safety belt warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . If the safety belt warning indicator does not operate correctly, REFER to PINPOINT TEST J: THE SAFETY BELT WARNING INDICATOR IS INOPERATIVE (CHIME IS OPERATIVE)/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY to continue diagnosis of the safety belt warning indicator.
The safety belt minder feature is not operating correctly	Safety belt minder deactivated	ACTIVATE the safety belt minder. To activate using a diagnostic tool, REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION . To activate without using a diagnostic tool, REFER to SAFETY BELT MINDER DEACTIVATING/ACTIVATING .
The safety belt minder feature is not operating correctly	Restraints control module (RCM)	INSTALL a new RCM. REFER to INSTALLATION .
The door ajar warning chime is inoperative	Instrument cluster	VERIFY the door ajar indicator operates correctly. If the door ajar indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . If the door ajar indicator does not operate correctly, REFER to PINPOINT TEST I: THE DOOR AJAR INDICATOR IS INOPERATIVE (CHIME IS OPERATIVE)/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY to continue diagnosis of the door ajar indicator.
The key-in-ignition warning chime is inoperative	Circuitry Ignition switch Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
The headlamp on warning chime is inoperative	Circuitry Instrument cluster	CHECK the instrument cluster illumination for correct operation. If the instrument cluster illumination operates correctly, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . If the instrument cluster illumination does not operate correctly, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PANEL ILLUMINATION to continue diagnosis of the instrument cluster illumination.
The chime sounds when the driver door is ajar (no key in ignition and headlamps off)	Circuitry Ignition switch Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
A chime does not operate correctly - the air bag warning tone	Restraints control module (RCM) Instrument cluster	GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
