Removal and Installation
- Remove the fuel tank. For additional information, refer to FUEL TANK .
- Clean the area around the fuel pump mounting flange.
- Using the special tool, remove the fuel module retaining ring.
- Remove the fuel delivery module from the fuel tank.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
The fuel delivery module must be handled carefully to avoid damage to the float arm, filter, and convolute hoses.
NOTE:
Install a new fuel pump module mounting gasket on the mounting flange.
NOTE:
A stop should be felt when aligning the raised arrow on top of the fuel delivery module to the dot on the fuel tank.
