Fuel System

The fuel system consists of:

• A fuel injection supply manifold
• Fuel injectors
• A fuel tank
• A fuel pump
• A fuel filter
• Fuel supply and return tubes

The vehicle is equipped with sequential multiport fuel injection (SFI).

Fuel delivery is accomplished through a mechanical returnless fuel system (MRFS).

• The fuel pump supplies the fuel injectors with pressurized fuel through the fuel injection supply manifold.
• Fuel pressure is controlled by the fuel pressure regulator which is mounted to the fuel pump support rods within the fuel tank.
• The fuel tubes route the fuel from the fuel pump to the fuel injection supply manifold.
• The fuel filter cleans the fuel delivered from the fuel pump to the fuel injection supply manifold.
