Windshield Reseal

Material 

All Vehicles 

1. Remove the RH and LH windshield side garnish mouldings.
   • If equipped with a convertible top, remove the pin-type retainers.

Convertible 

2. Remove the visor clip screws and the visor trim moulding.

3. Remove the screws and the LH and RH sun visors.
   • Disconnect the electrical connector(s).

Coupe 

4. Remove the LH and RH sun visors and clips
   • Remove the screws.
   • Remove the clips.

5. Lower the front portion of the headliner and block with a suitable material.

All Vehicles 

6. Remove the LH and RH windshield wiper pivot arms.
   1. Raise up on the pivot arms.
   2. Release the retainer tabs, and release the windshield wiper pivot arms.

7. Remove the cowl grille weatherstrip.

8. Remove the cowl grille.

9. Clean the interior and exterior of the windshield glass surface with non-alcohol based glass cleaner.
10. Cut the urethane adhesive applicator tip to specification.

NOTE: Use either a high-ratio, electric or battery-operated caulk gun that will apply the urethane with less effort and continuous bead.
NOTE: Make sure that all gaps in the urethane adhesive are smoothed into one continuous bead.
11. Apply urethane adhesive over top of the existing urethane adhesive.
    • Apply the urethane to the top and sides of the windshield from the interior of the vehicle.
    • Apply the urethane to the bottom of the windshield from the exterior of the vehicle.
NOTE: The urethane adhesive must cure for a minimum of 1 hour before testing for air or water leaks.
12. After the urethane has cured, check the windshield seal for air or water leaks through the urethane bead and add urethane adhesive as necessary.
13. Install the cowl grille.

14. Install the cowl grille weatherstrip.

15. Install the LH and RH windshield wiper pivot arms.

Coupe 

16. Position the front portion of the headliner.
17. Position the LH and RH sun visors and clips and install the screws.

Convertible 

18. Position the LH and RH sun visors and install the screws.
    • Connect the electrical connector(s).

19. Install the visor trim moulding and the visor clip screws.

All Vehicles 

20. Install the RH and LH windshield side garnish moulding.
    • If equipped with a convertible top, install the pin-type retainers.

21. Adjust the wiper blade and pivot arms as necessary. For additional information, refer to WIPERS AND WASHERS .
