Support Insulator - Lower, Front: Removal

    NOTE: 2.0L Zetec shown; 2.0L SPI similar. Install Three-Bar Engine Support.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle; refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
  2. Remove the splash shield bolts from the engine support crossmember.

  3. Remove the bolts and the crossmember.

  4. NOTE: Disconnect the A/C line from the retainer located on the front of the engine crossmember.

  5. Remove the engine support crossmember.
    1. Remove the bolts and nuts.
    2. Remove the lower front insulator nuts.
    3. Remove the lower rear insulator nuts.
    4. Remove the engine support crossmember.
  6. Remove the lower front support insulator.
    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Remove the lower front support isolator.
