Lower Control Arm: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove stabilizer bar nuts, washers, bushings, bolts and spacer. See Figure . Remove nut and pinch bolt securing lower ball joint to knuckle. See Figure . Separate steering knuckle from lower ball joint.
  2. Remove lower control arm pivot bolt. See Fig 1 . Remove bolts securing lower control arm rear bushing onto chassis. See Fig 2 . Remove lower control arm.
