Exhaust Manifold: Removal

  1. Remove the oil level indicator and tube.

  2. Remove the radiator fan and shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield lower retaining bolts.

  4. Detach the exhaust manifold from the catalytic converter.

  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

  7. Remove the exhaust manifold.
    • Remove the exhaust manifold downwards.
    • Discard the gaskets.
