Front Seat Cushion: Assembly

All Seats 

    WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, Read and follow all warnings, cautions, and notes at the beginning of the disassembly procedure.

  1. Fasten the J-clip.
  2. Install the trim.

  3. Fasten the J-clips.

  4. Install the front seat backrest. For additional information, refer to FRONT SEAT BACKREST  .
  5. Install the seat track. For additional information, refer to SEAT TRACK-FRONT  .

    Vehicles Without Side Air Bags 

  6. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the seat removal and installation procedure.
  7. Install the affected seat. For additional information, refer to DRIVER SEAT  or PASSENGER SEAT  .

    Vehicles With Side Air Bags 

  8. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
      WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the seat removal and installation procedure.
    1. Install the affected seat. For additional information, refer to DRIVER SEAT  or PASSENGER SEAT  .
    2. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes, and instructions in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.
    3. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION  .
    4. WARNING: The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service only. Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety standards.
    5. With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION  .
    6. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
