Retrieving Fault Codes

Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Follow scan tool manufacturer"s instructions to retrieve all continuous DTCs. Record DTCs displayed for reference. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION  table. Once historical DTCs are cleared, they cannot be retrieved.
