Clearance Test

- Inspect the oil pump (6600) for excessive metal particles.
- Inspect the oil pump for gouges, cracks or deep scratches.
- Inspect the oil pump inner and outer gerotors for damage or excessive wear.
- Using a straightedge and special tool 303-D027 (D81L-4201-A), measure the height clearance between the oil pump housing and the inner and outer gerotors. If the measurement does not meet specifications, install new gerotors as a set.
- Using the special tool, measure the clearance between the outer gerotor and the oil pump housing. If the measurement does not meet specifications, install new gerotors as a set.
