Gearshift Lever: Disassembly

Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
Shift the gearshift lever into the third gear.
Detach the gearshift cable from the gearshift lever (gearshift linkage shown removed for clarity).

Detach the selector cable from the selector lever (gearshift linkage shown removed for clarity).

Remove the gearshift linkage upper housing retaining bolts (gearshift linkage shown removed for clarity).

NOTE: Note the position of the retaining plate.

Remove the gearshift linkage upper housing (gearshift linkage shown removed for clarity).
Remove the selector lever circlip.
- Discard the circlip.
- Remove the washer.

Remove the selector lever.
