Torque Converter End Play Check: Notes

1. Install special tool into the torque converter.
2. Insert special tool into the torque converter until it bottoms.
3. Tighten the inner post until the tool is securely locked.

4. Install the special tool as shown. Position the dial indicator bottom on the converter impeller housing and zero the dial.

5. Lift up on the special tool and note the dial indicator reading. If the reading exceeds end play limits, install a new or remanufactured torque converter.
