Vehicle Security Module

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the appropriate diagnostic equipment. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the passenger side airbag. For additional information, refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
  3. Remove the screws and position the vehicle security module forward.

  4. Remove the vehicle security module.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
