Transmission Range (TR) Sensor: Removal
- Place the vehicle in NEUTRAL.
- Disconnect the battery cables. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the battery and tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Disconnect the breather tube and mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
- Remove the intake tube and air cleaner cover.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
- Remove the thermostat housing. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
- Remove the transmission range (TR) sensor.
- Disconnect the TR sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the TR sensor.
NOTE:
It may be necessary to remove the thermostat housing to gain access to the transmission range (TR) sensor
