Transmission Range (TR) Sensor: Removal

Place the vehicle in NEUTRAL.

Disconnect the battery cables. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the battery and tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Disconnect the breather tube and mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Remove the intake tube and air cleaner cover.

Remove the air cleaner assembly.

NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the thermostat housing to gain access to the transmission range (TR) sensor

Remove the thermostat housing. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
Remove the transmission range (TR) sensor.
1. Disconnect the TR sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the bolts.
3. Remove the TR sensor.
