Oil Pan: Installation

- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Clean mating surfaces on the oil pan and the cylinder block using metal surface cleaner.
- Apply a bead of sealant as shown in the illustration.
- Clean mating surfaces on the oil pan and the cylinder block using metal surface cleaner.
- Tighten the bolts in two stages in the sequence shown.
- Stage 1: 4-5 Nm (35-44 lb-in)
- Stage 2: 9-12 Nm (79-106 lb-in)
NOTE:
If the oil pan and rear oil seal are not installed within four minutes, remove sealant and reapply.
