Intake Manifold - Spacer Assembly: Installation

  1. Inspect the intake manifold spacer assembly mounting gaskets. Install new gaskets, if necessary.

  2. Install the intake manifold spacer assembly. Tighten the bolts in two steps in the sequence shown.
    • Step 1 - Tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
    • Step 2 - Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  3. Connect the EGR solenoid electrical and vacuum connectors.
    • Connect the intake manifold vacuum connector.
    • Position the transmission oil level tube bracket and install the retaining nut.

  4. Connect the heater water hoses at the intake.

  5. Connect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose.

  6. Connect the vapor management valve (VMV) hose.

  7. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.

  8. Connect the throttle position (TP) sensor.

  9. Install the upper intake manifold. For additional information, refer to UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD .
  10. Fill the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
