Valve Body: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Position a drain pan under the transaxle, then remove the drain plug and washer. Discard the washer. Remove all the bolts securing the transaxle fluid pan except the 4 corner bolts, then remove the 2 from the rear and allow the pan to drain.
  2. Place a suitable container beneath the transaxle fluid pan, then remove the transaxle fluid pan bolts (A), and the transaxle fluid pan (B). See Fig 1 . Remove the oil pan to case gasket and discard.
  3. Remove the bolts securing the wire retainers to the valve body then disconnect the solenoid harness connectors. See Fig 2 . Loosen the main control valve body bolts evenly and gradually. Remove the bolts. Remove the main control valve body.
