Valve Body: Installation

  1. Position the main control valve body into the transaxle case. Align the manual valve "A" with the pin on the manual valve detent lever "B". See Fig 1 .
  2. NOTE: The valve body bolts are 2 different lengths. Bolt length is measured from below the head. "A" is 30 mm and "C" is 50 mm. See Fig 2 . Secure the wire retainers to the valve body when the valve body is installed.
  3. Install the main control valve body bolts then connect the solenoid electrical connectors. See Fig 3 . Tighten the valve body bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install the transaxle fluid pan with a new oil pan to case gasket. Install the transaxle fluid pan and oil pan to case gasket. Install the bolts. Lower the vehicle. Fill the transaxle with appropriate fluid to proper level and check for correct transaxle operation. See LUBRICATION  . Test drive the vehicle and verify that shift points are accurate.
