Removal & Installation: Condenser: Removal

- Recover refrigerant using an approved refrigerant recovery system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Measure the amount of oil lost during recovery and record.
- Remove the front fascia. Remove battery box air duct. See Fig 1 .
- Remove Condenser Radiator Fan Module (CRFM) closeout panel. See Fig 2 .
- Remove Receiver/Dehydrator (RD) line from condenser. See Figure .
- Install protective cap to RD line to prevent contamination and desiccant saturation.
- Remove compressor hose from condenser. Install protective cap to the compressor hose to prevent contamination and desiccant saturation.
- Remove upper condenser radiator fan module bracket and puck assembly. See Fig 3 . Lift condenser while holding upper retention tabs forward and remove condenser. See Fig 4 .
