General Procedures: Camshaft-Runout

NOTE: Camshaft journals must be within specifications before checking runout.
1. Use the special tool to measure the camshaft runout.
   • Rotate the camshaft and subtract the lowest indicator reading from the highest indicator reading.
   • For additional information, refer to GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS . .
   • If it is out of specification, install a new camshaft. Refer to CAMSHAFT for the procedure.
