Timing Chain: Removal

  1. Remove the engine front cover (6019). Refer to ENGINE FRONT COVER - WITH CIII POWER STEERING SYSTEM  OR ENGINE FRONT COVER - WITH CII POWER STEERING SYSTEM .
  2. Rotate the crankshaft (6303) and align the timing marks.

  3. Remove the camshaft sprocket bolt.

  4. Remove the timing chain (6268), the camshaft sprocket (6256) and the crankshaft sprocket (6306) as an assembly.
