Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove throttle body outlet tube. Disconnect throttle cables. Disconnect electrical connectors as necessary. Disconnect vacuum hoses as necessary. Remove throttle body bolts/nuts. Remove throttle body. On 3.0L DOHC engines, remove and inspect gasket. Replace as necessary. On 3.0L OHV engines, remove and discard throttle body gasket.
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. On all engines, clean and inspect gasket mating surfaces. On 3.0L DOHC engines, install throttle body gasket. On 3.0L OHV engines, install NEW throttle body gasket. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check and top off cooling system.
