Wiper/Washer Switch

WARNING: Vehicle is equipped with an air bag system. System MUST be disabled before working near steering column and instrument cluster to prevent air bag deployment. See appropriate AIR BAG SYSTEMS article in RESTRAINTS.
NOTE: Wiper and washer switches are part of multifunction switch assembly.

Disconnect wiper/washer switch Gray 7-pin harness connector C202a. See Fig 1. Measure resistance of multifunction switch between specified terminals with wiper/washer switch in appropriate position. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH RESISTANCE TEST  table. Replace multifunction switch if readings are not as specified. See MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

ON 590 & 993 Zero
(1) Values are approximate.
(2) Rotate (INT) knob from minimum to maximum. Resistance should gradually increase from 3.3 k/ohms (MIN) to 103.3 k/ohms (MAX).
