Heated Seat Module: Installation

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, and notes at the beginning of the removal procedure.

All vehicles 

  1. Install the heated seat module.
    1. Install the heated seat module in the mounting bracket. Verify that the module is locked into the mounting bracket.
    2. Connect the heated seat module electrical connector.

    Vehicles with memory seats 

  2. Slide in the memory module. Install the four screws in the memory module bracket.

  3. Connect the two inboard side memory module electrical connectors.

    All vehicles 

  4. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.
    1. Install the seat in the vehicle. For additional information, refer to FRONT SEAT .
    2. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.
    3. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION .
    4. WARNING: The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service only. Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety standards.
    5. With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
    6. Check the active restraints for correct operation. For additional information, refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .
