Differential Case: Disassembly

- Remove the differential assembly from the differential carrier housing. For additional information, refer to AXLE ASSEMBLY - FRONT DRIVE .
- Remove the ring gear.
- Remove the ten bolts.
- Use a drift punch to separate the ring gear from the differential case.
- Remove the differential pinion shaft bolt.
- Remove the differential pinion shaft.
- Remove the differential pinion thrust washers and the differential pinion gears.
- Rotate the differential pinion gears to the differential case window, and remove them.
- Separate the thrust washers from the gears.
- Remove the differential side gears and the differential side gear thrust washers.
